Side Bending...

Got the sides bent yesterday. I bent them at full thickness (.140") rather than typical .90" so I could have lots of room for sanding down to bindings later on. This meant I had to "cook" them twice in the Fox Bender to get rid of the springback (the tendency for them to not hold their bent shape). So , soak the sides in the bathtub for 15 minutes, 10 minutes of heat @ 500 degrees, wait for the the hissing sound of boiling water in the wood, then apply pressure at the waist and on the ends to bend around form, let it cool, then 10 minutes of heat again.
