I also attached the kerning to the top side of the guitar. There will actually be little glue surface between the actual sides and top themselves (especially after cutting the binding channel), so the kerfing is the real attachment point. There are lots of fancy clamps for doing this, but I just use binder clips, they're cheap!I am building a custom guitar to be used for a fundraiser for the Atascadero High School Marching band. Kerfing...
I also attached the kerning to the top side of the guitar.
