Here's a video of this years winner playing the guitar for the first time:
Bob plays the guitar
I am building a custom guitar to be used for a fundraiser for the Atascadero High School Marching band. This blog now documents multiple years. We raffle each guitar at the christmas concert, so to see each years postings, navigate to a specific year's posts

Final pics and video
Haven't posted in awhile but here are pics of the finished guitar. The keen eyed amongst you may note that the guitar body looks different from previous pics, and that's because it is. During lacquer stages, the first guitar body developed cracks that I decided were un-repairable and un-acceptable for a custom guitar. So I had to abandon it and build a second body. The new body is made from Higuerilla wood. Here are pictures and link to a video of my son and myself playing it.

Using an orage shellac base on the soundboard to bring out the bear claw figure, then Tru-Oil on top. Back and side will be KTM water based lacquer
